It’s a shame but that’s exactly how I felt about The Swarm. I didn’t notice each one being described as beautiful either, and certainly not often enough to make it a distraction. I’m wavering between 2 and 3 stars for this Crichton-esque brick of a sea-thriller. I am proud of this review. THE SWARM must be read quickly because before the reader can finally get to sleep, he must wander far and wide before crossing the finish line happy but exhausted.
As far as the demands of the popular thriller genre swatm concerned, The Swarm is a pretty good read the lively and engaging translation is by Sally-Ann Spencer.
